Electric vehicles are gaining momentum
around the world, with more and more
major cities increasingly switching to electric
buses for public transport. The global Dürr
Technik Group devotes itself to all aspects
of “e-mobility” and has developed oil-free
compressors that are powered by their own
electric motor(s). These compressors offer
energy savings with fewer pollutants in the
“Automotive” sector.
Precision
fluid system components
For vehicles over 3.5 tons, a reliable and robust compressed air
supply is essential - for applications ranging from brake release
air to door opening to air suspension. Instead of mechanically
connecting the existing compressors with the vehicle engine in
a conventional manner, the newly developed and efficient Dürr
Technik compressors have their own electric motor(s). These are
extremely environmentally friendly, run independently of the
vehicle engine and only draw power when needed, meaning the a
very low energy consumption.
The compressors that we
manufacture are oil-free
meaning oil control or oil
changes are a thing of the past.
Coupled with their compact and
robust design, very low noise /
vibration, low whole life costs,
ease of installation and the fact
that they are almost completely
maintenance free, they can be
installed into many positions within the vehicles that would have
been impossible in the past. Depending on the product selected
our compressors can achieve temperature ranges of between -40
and +40OC and can be operated with a duty cycle of 100 percent.
The compressor B-304 WR from Dürr Technik is especially
suitable for vehicles with a total mass of up to 13.5 tonnes. With a
centralised air intake system, this allows flexibility of installation to
suit the manufacturers requirements.
For vehicles over 13.5 Tonnes,
the E-Bull-300 from Dürr Technik
is the ideal choice. At 400 V and
50 Hz, the compressor delivers
280 l / min at 10 bar - at a sound
pressure level of 72 dB (A),
similar to a vacuum cleaner.
With the E-Bull-300 weighing in
at only 45 kg, with dimensions
of 474 x 286 x 496mm and an
IP67 rating it is suitable for all
types of vehicle. In addition, Dürr Technik can make individual
adjustments to suit specific customer requirements. Durr Technik

coolers, ambient cooling fans, support brackets and enclosures as
required.
