SOUTHERN MANUFACTURING SHOW PREVIEW INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FROM HEPCO AT SOUTHERN MANUFACTURING HepcoMotion will be showcasing a selection of its industry leading range of linear motion products at stand G230 at Southern Manufacturing.   From track systems for robot automation to complete production lines performing multi-assembly tasks, Hepco’s products have been developed to provide designers with a multitude of solutions and are the originators of the V-guide system.   Key products on the stand include the V guide linear system: GV3 – designed to serve a diverse range of automation and linear applications and is widely used in the packing industry for applications such as a telescopic pick and place gantry, transport system or multi-lane row divider to name but a few.   Following a collaboration between Swiss mechatronics firm, Stäubli, German automation company, Beckhoff, and HepcoMotion, visitors will be able to view a Hepco GFX system with state of the art high speed pick and place robots (pictured).   Also on the stand will be the DTS2 driven track system – an ideal choice for a packaging application that requires high positional accuracy and a demanding duty cycle.  DTS2 is ideally suited to form the foundation of an automated production cell, to guide and transfer a component around the system between high speed automation of assembly processes.    With Hepco’s experienced team on hand to discuss applications and product offerings, they look forward to meeting visitors at stand G230. IPG PHOTONICS WILL BE DEMONSTRATING THE MULTI-AXIS WORKSTATION AT SOUTHERN MANUFACTURING 2019 The Multi-Axis Workstation is a Class 1 laser system that is fully compatible with the full range of welding laser sources at powers from 150 to 8,000 Watts. The system has been designed to have small parts made easy; it is particularly well- suited to dis-similar joining applications such as battery, busbar, electronic components and batches of mechanical parts. Side panels remove for increased automated part feeds. A working envelope of 500 x 300 x 300 mm is available for your tooling. Up to 5-axis operation is possible and a range of standard options such as vision and power measurement are featured. The system may be configured to order for a number of specific fiber laser processing applications. When fitted with a low cost, high brightness single mode YLR-150-QCW laser the system is very well suited to fine welding of similar and dissimilar materials. Fitting a multi kilo-Watt laser enables the system to automatically run deeper keyhole welding applications. Specifying a ‘wobble’ welding-head, further opens up the range of joining applications and materials. IPG’s systems group offer a range of cutting and welding systems that include fiber lasers, process heads and motion systems. IPG also have extensive experience in customising their workstations for high volume manufacturing applications.
