Amazon Filters Helps Improve
Major Pharmaceutical Off-Gas
Filtration System New BOGE LPT150 oil free
compressor cuts cost of
ownership by 30%
Amazon Filters reports on the supply of
significant quantities of SupaPore TPB PTFE
membrane filters to a major pharmaceutical
company for off-gas filtration of their large-
scale fermenters. BOGE Compressors has launched an
innovative new oil-free system, the LPT150,
that cuts total cost of ownership by up to
30%.
In the preparation of vaccines and cultivation
of pathogenic microorganisms, the chance
of hazardous microorganisms escaping from
the fermenter into the environment must be
prevented.

Putting air pollution on the map
The nature of air pollution may have changed
in recent decades, but it still has a significant
impact on health and wellbeing across the
world, especially for those with underlying
respiratory conditions.
To combat this global health menace,
many countries’ planning processes require
calculations for the dispersal of air pollution,
when developing new buildings and
infrastructure.
At the heart of the new compressor is a
compact permanent magnet motor, with a
central rotor suspended on self-stabilising
air foil bearings, with precision balanced
titanium impellors mounted at each end of
the rotor.
Mapping software is used to bridge the gap
between the science needed to understand it
and engineering being planned to mitigate it.
Understanding this can help people identify
and control air pollution.
This, arrangement allows air to be drawn in
via an intake funnel and specially-designed
spiral casing and thus to be boosted in stages
to reach operating pressures quickly and
efficiently

Advanced Gas Detection Made Simple
Here at IGD we have launched the new TOC-
625 MICRO, a multi-channel gas detection
system, that can be configured with up to
6 detectors and 2 relay options. With 1 click
automatic setup, deploying a gas detection
system has never been easier.
The system is designed with advanced auto-
matic set-up features. Once installed, all that
is required to set-up the system is one click of
a button.
Addressable gas detection systems allow you
to quickly deploy an effective safety solution.
The controller features auto-setup functions
which enables auto-configuration of the gas
detection system alarm levels, gas types and
ranges.
The systems allow for the use of pre-calibrat-
ed detectors. Only a single cable is required
to interconnect the controller, detectors and
relay modules. Addressable gas detection sys-
tems of this type typically save up to 70% on
installation costs. Furthermore the 625 MICRO
can be easily integrated into any fire system
or BMS system allowing for a fast, flexible and
complete safety system.
There is also a pre-wired version of the system
using plug and socketed cables (TOC-625-
MCP). This version allows for installation by
people with no gas detection experience. Ca-
bles are available in 1m, 3m and 10m lengths
which can be interconnected to make specific
length cable runs.
625 MICRO is ideal for a wide variety of ap-
plications that require a small gas detection
system, these can include:
