Handling with ease: Expanded range
Demag Manulift for loads of up
to 500 kg Sidetracker Engineering has expanded its
product range including the addition of two
man – up machines said to be particularly
useful when steel stockholders receive orders
for mixed quantities of light duty sections,
which can then be bundled, trade weighed
and labelled at height.
The DC Manulift, used in conjunction with
a Demag DC chain hoist, may be used for
simple and safe horizontal and vertical move-
ment of loads with minimum operator effort.
Loads may be manoeuvred with the operator
using just one hand, leaving the other hand
free to operate the crane control system.
This provides ergonomic advantages over
the use of conventional chain hoists, where
the operator often needs to use both hands
to lift and position loads. The DC Manulift’s
control unit is rigidly connected to the load
handling attachment, allowing the operator
to guide the load with a central handle and,
at the same time, lift and lower the load via
integrated rocker switches, without having to
change the hand position.

Lubricants
This saves time bringing bulk stocks down to
ground level, to pick one section and then
returning it back into the racking. The truck
can be specified to handle bulk stocks in and
out of the racking.
Sidetracker Engineering also now offers heavy
duty electric platforms with high capacity
platforms, railed or free – standing, suitable
for transferring materials between buildings
where craneage is not available or for moving
stocks long distances to despatch rather than
using a forklift.

and IP protection to ensure it could make
