He believes that those attending his
session will be able to return to their places
of work and advise their boards or senior
managers more accurately.
Another session that will appeal to
readers is the debate closing the second
day. Chaired by Neal Stone, policy and
standards director at the British Safety
Council, a panel of experts from HSE,
Land Securities, CITB and Bovis Homes
will debate the most pressing issues in
construction.
Visitors will also want to explore the Safety
Dialogue seminars where they can debate
with a panel of experts drawn from the
Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL), the
British Occupational Hygiene Society
(BOHS), NEBOSH and sponsor 3M. Key
topical issues include hearing protection
and respiratory protective equipment.
Building on the success of last year, the
Safer Logistics Theatre will host a line-up of
partners that will provide presentations on
safety hot spots in the world of
warehousing and logistics. Supported by
NEBOSH, an exciting new element for 2016
is the Education Pavilion. The new
dedicated feature will host an ‘Ask the
Expert’ facility and provide visitors with
direct access to educational advice and
guidance.
Also brand new this year is ‘Lions’ Lair’.
Taking place twice a day, exhibitors will
have five minutes to impress the expert
judges with their pitches.
The judges and live audience will then
vote to determine which presentation is
worthy of the Lions’ Lair crown. Co-located
with Maintec and Facilities Management
2016, The Health and Safety Event 2016
provides coverage of the health and safety
issues that matter to anyone responsible
for running a safe and efficient workplace.
