Terex Material Handling has launched a
new range of rope hoists based on a single
design technology. The DMR range is of a
modular design and is available with a broad
range of complementary components,
allowing multiple configurations to meet a
wide variety of customer specific applications. This inherent flexibility allows
DMR rope hoists to be manufactured to compact C-design or co-axial design.
Following the launch of the innovative
Demag V-type single girder crane, Terex
Material Handling has extended the range
to include V-type double girder overhead
travelling models. V-type double girder
cranes are available with load capacities of
up to 50 tonnes and are offered with spans of up to 35m as standard, with
longer girder lengths available upon request.
The DMR range includes five models with SWLs from 1 to 50 tonnes. They
are suitable for conventional cranes and crabs, as well as for stationary
applications in the mechanical and plant engineering sectors where lifting,
towing, travelling, holding or positioning tasks are required.
DMR modular rope hoists are available as foot mounted hoists, low and
standard headroom travelling hoists and double rail crabs to meet specific
customer needs.

Each system container is optimally designed to hold
all standard types of containers and ensure full use
is made of the available storage space.
DENIOS system containers offer a whole range of benefits: Not only can they
store large amounts of hazardous substances outside, but investment outlay
per storage space can also be kept to a minimum.
Containers are equipped according to the type of drums or containers they
are intended to hold, and the lowest storage level is always fitted with an
integral sump to ensure liquid leakages and spills are safely contained. Different
materials can be stored in compliance with applicable storage regulations. If
corrosive materials need to be stored, plastic or stainless steel sumps can be
used as they offer optimum resistance to such substances.

A significant feature of the V-type crane is the reduced weight of the crane
girder compared with cranes manufactured in box section girders. This
facilitates the accommodation of a rope hoist that has a higher load capacity for
the movement of heavier unit loads. The reduced crane deadweight produces
less wheel pressure, minimising the forces transmitted to the crane runways
and existing building structures. Consequently, the new Demag V-type crane
provides architects with greater freedom in planning new factory buildings.
