The Heavyweight Champion
of Structural Adhesives
Making Light Work
of Energy Savings
Protecting the working environment from corrosion
caused by halogenating materials, Hernon Manufacturing
introduces a new line of adhesives, FusionBond 372.
This adhesive is unlike any other – because it’s halogenfree and fast curing. Plus, impact tests conclude it has
a higher resistance than any other structural adhesive
available.
Steve Gardner Director of Lutterworth
Ecolighting reports that the desire for
lower energy bills is driving the demand
for replacement lighting installations,
particularly from larger warehousing,
manufacturing and distribution operations.
Forming resilient bonds and maintaining strength over
a wide range of temperatures, FusionBond 372 bonds a
variety of substrates with minimum surface preparation.
This instant cure adhesive bonds plastics, PVC acrylics,
ABS stainless steel, aluminum composites, glass, and
some types of fiberglass. It’s ideal for multiple industries
including automotive, marine and in electronics.

New energy assessments
give clear insight into
energy use
Adcock Refrigeration and Air Conditioning have introduced an advanced energy
assessment that will give building owners and managers a clear insight into exactly
what energy they use, where energy is being wasted and the financial savings to be
had.
Rising energy prices, carbon reduction programmes and regulatory compliance are
among a variety of issues forcing businesses to look at new ways to save energy and
meet sustainability targets.
Using a database of over 8,000 different air conditioning and chiller units, Adcock’s
new energy assessments provide detailed calculations on all equipment and systems
within a facility to show exactly what energy is being used, the efficiency of the
equipment and provides projections of the operating costs for systems and the entire
site. It also calculates occupancy hours versus energy use.
For more information on the details of the assessment, along with example reports,

Optical Level Sensor
Finds Success in
Refrigeration Industry
A combination of clever optics, modern
electronics and innovative manufacturing has
led to Product Innovation Ltd’s optical level
sensor finding a niche market in the UK’s
refrigeration industry. Since it was first trialled
by Tesco several years ago more than 2000
units have been supplied. Most of these have
been fitted in Tesco refrigeration plant and used
to measure the level of liquid refrigerant. The
sensor is totally solid state and can be used in
a variety of applications including where high
pressure or aggressive chemicals are involved.
