T
he Institution of Chemical

relevant to the engineering
and process industries.
Loss Prevention Bulletin (LPB)
Our Loss Prevention
Bulletin is the
leading source of
case studies in
process safety in
the industry and
has an archive
spanning over 40
years of lessons
learnt from
accidents.
It was first published in response to the
disastrous explosion at Flixborough in
1974 when a need was established for
the process industries to be able to share
information on accidents in the hope that
a lesson shared is a lesson learnt.
LPB is offered on an individual
subscription basis, or as a site
licence allowing multiple users at one
organisation to have access to this vital
resource. Visit www.icheme.org/lpb
for more information.

recurring accidents. It is intended
to help the reader understand safe
operating practices and procedures
within processing plants. Now available
electronically, the series comprises
titles such as Hazards of Water, Hazards
of Electricity, Confined Space Entry,
Safe Furnace and Boiler Firing, and
many more. For the full list visit our
