CHECKLIST FOR MEETINGS

PRE MEETING
Set time, date, place by mutual consent for the meeting
Schedule space that is convenient to all participants
Announce meeting by email, phone, or mail at least one week in advance (Remember to include directions to the meeting
location)
Decide who will take the minutes
Develop the agenda (Consider minutes from previous meeting)
MEETING
Send reminder a few days in advance
Send agenda two or three working day in advance of the meeting
Have copies of the agenda for everyone or remind them to bring it with them
Pass around sign-in sheet with pertinent information for future contact
Develop a group member list for distribution
Stick to the agenda
Assign people responsible for the various tasks
Work with persons needing attention between meetings
Schedule the next meeting before the end of the current meeting
POST MEETING
Within one or two days send out minutes by email or mail
Follow up with those responsible for tasks at some point well before the next meeting
