Theta Rho Omega Chapter
Anti Basileus Message

To borrow a quote from honorary AKA soror, Maya Angelou, my mission in life is
not merely to survive but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some humor,
and some style. We thrive best when we figure out what to do and then be about
the business of doing that something to the best of our ability. There are many
definitions for the word thrive. One that I like is to aim for, to aspire toward a
goal, a purpose, or a vision – to do one’s best, to go the limit.
As we think of thrive, consider our targets and committees.
Have you signed up for targets and committees? There is still time.
Do you support the ones that you signed up for? Remember that support in-
cludes effort, time, energy, suggestions, ideas, presence, and finances.Have
you initiated any projects or helped on the completion of the same?
Are you included on the conference calls?
Do you support the events of your targets and committees as well as those of
your sorors that you did not sign up for? Many hands make lighter work and
less effort.
As Maya said, thrive with passion. Enthusiasm spreads and might spark more
interest in someone else. Your dedication, devotion to your effort, your spirit,
and your enthusiasm might be the very motivation that spurs another soror.
Thrive with humor. Laughter has a sparkle all its own and no act of kindness is
ever wasted.
Thrive with style – pink and green style. Sisterly style. Flair. Elegance.
Panache.
Finally, Sorors remember that everyone has a talent – a gift, the ability to tri-
umph. Never let it be said that you did not use up everything
that you have been given.
