“Where are they now”? Page 16
Letters from our Scholarship Recipients!
Hello!
It was so nice to hear from you via Facebook. It is great that you check in on me and are
interested in hearing about my progress in school. My junior year is coming quickly to a close.
I do not know if I have told you, but I decided to do a fifth year to give myself time to really
work on my studies and take all the courses I am required to take and find interesting. This is
allowing me to take courses outside of my engineering field, and I am enjoying it. I still serve
as an Eucharistic Minister at the Catholic Church that is on campus. I haven’t had much time
to play Club Tennis this semester, but I hopefully can return in the fall. I will be interning with
Land O’Lakes as a Supply Chain and Operations Quality Intern this summer in Arden Hills,
MN. It is not too far from campus so I will be able to stay in my current apartment which is
nice. I am going to be the President of the National Society of Black Engineers student group
again next year, so I will continue to lead the group in professional development and
community outreach initiatives. I think that is about it for everything I am doing. How are
you?
Best,
Giselle Beebe
