Three months ago, when I was writing
my letter for the Spring issue, the
COVID-19 pandemic was just starting.
Since then, there have been so many
ups and downs and so much devastation
through the world. I’m sure all
of you are very familiar with what is
going on across our country. Frankly,
it’s hard to process the senseless deaths
and violence we are witnessing. We
are doing our best to listen carefully,
talk openly, examine racial and social
injustice, and to learn what it truly
means to be a neighbor and ally.
I am very excited about featuring
Greenville, South Carolina. It is an
eclectic city that is bustling with
creativity and energy. It reminds me
of Austin 20 years ago. Unfortunately,
some of the places that we planned to
feature in our City Guide section have
had to shut their doors permanently
due to America staying at home for
three months—such different times
we live in these days.
Since most of us have been dining
at home with family for months,
Tamberlyn created a fabulous al fresco
