Going into its 15th year , the foundation is continuing to focus on fundraising to meet the rising costs of funerals . Anne Marie says , “ Our focus for the next several years is fundraising so we can meet the growing need for our services in Northeast Florida . We have never turned a qualified family away , and we hope to continue to do so .”

“ As a third-grade teacher , at some point during the year , the kids eventually ask about Allison ,” says Drew . “ I always tell them how lucky I was to be her mother and that she brought her family much joy . My focus during these conversations though is to let the kids know how important it is to live the best life you can , no matter the circumstances . My family and I have a wonderful life and we feel lucky every day to be able to live it . I truly believe our decision to live , and
Drew adds , “ Our family was fortunate to be able to honor Allison ’ s life with a beautiful service and celebration . We could not imagine being in a position to be unable to afford a service and celebrate her life . Unfortunately , this is not the case for many families in their darkest hour . Because of this reality , our mission was created : to honor the legacy of Allison ’ s joyous spirit by alleviating the financial burden of funeral costs associated with the loss of a child .” n
