The Finishing Touch
A mirrored and windowed wet bar
connects the living and family rooms.
The cabinetry in high gloss Benjamin
Moore Fieldstone Grey links the neutral palettes of both rooms.
Emily has always been in love with the
colors and unique designs of Majolica.
She started her collection years ago
and a collector recommended a book
to her called “Majolica—A Complete
History and Illustrated Survey” by
Marilyn G. Karmason. She is a selftaught Majolica expert who studied
and devoured the various types of
Majolica and how to authenticate it

eBay became her new best friend and
fed her passion for collecting, all while
finding big steals!
Emily’s collection of Majolica is the
focal point in the family room so soft
hues were selected to complement her
gatherings. The designers chose a light
palette of neutrals, full of texture, to
enhance her antique treasures. Pops
of lavender enliven the neutral tones
to create the fresh and bright room
where the couple entertains family and
friends. All the furniture is custom in
the family room.
