A Taste of Summer GOAT CHEESE, FIG PRESERVES AND APPLE CROSTINI Spread goat cheese on crostini and top with a teaspoon of fig preserves. Place a very thin slice of Granny Smith apple on top. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with toasted walnuts. You can also lightly heat this in the oven with goat cheese and fig preserves then top with other ingredients but I typically serve room temperature. To keep apples from browning place in 1 cup water with 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Before using, drain and pat dry. For crostini: Slice baguette thinly and brush with olive oil. Lightly salt and pepper. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool completely and store in airtight container if making ahead. 86 PEACHYTHEMAGAZINE.COM
