Reflecting on the year , I can ’ t help but think about all the amazingly talented architects and designers that we have been able to feature . Our Aspen issue in the fall was one of my all-time favorites . We spotlighted two truly stunning properties , including a gorgeous “ Highlands Retreat ” that serves as an example of holistic mountain design . The other feature , a mountain estate situated on a river , showcased a contemporary home that seamlessly incorporates river views and exterior spaces into the interior .
