Nashville reminds me of my hometown of Austin. It has the appeal of a
river running through downtown, rolling old neighborhoods, a vibrant music
scene, incredible food—but most of all
an uber-chic funky vibe.

The Peachy team fell in love with
Nashville. Our research landed us with
a long list of places to visit. After all of
the fabulous gourmet dishes that we
discovered, we all needed to set back
our scales more than a few pounds.
Our entertaining editor, Tamberlyn
Dobrowski, features some of the
highlights with recipes in this issue.
My favorite was the craft cocktails at
The Patterson House. Their Southside
with cucumber and mint was delicious, refreshing and too easy to drink.
As fate would have it, The Patterson
House, which is known for their
cocktails, also had wonderful food.
The tomato soup and grilled cheese
were perfect on a cold night but had a
gourmet twist. The fried rum-soaked
doughnuts melted in my mouth, and
this was all before dinner!
