Inspiration
P
Peachy has been inspiring readers since our first issue in 2013. Contributing Editor
and Partnership Director Bek Mitchell-Kidd seeks out people and organizations
making a difference in our world. Jane Lockwood’s personal story about the strug-
gles and blessings of having a child with Muscular Dystrophy honestly shares
how her daughter is her inspiration and daily call to action. We also featured
Friendship Gardens, a Charlotte community network for growing and sharing
produce. Both Crossnore School, a non-profit residential foster care home located
in the North Carolina mountains, and San Francisco’s Larkin Street Youth Services
show how hope and healing can help children rise above their circumstances to
excel in school and life. The Jackson Hole Land Trust is another one of the worthy
causes Peachy has spotlighted over the past five years.
