Mission Statement:

"Peace & Unity For Our Community Coalition"

exists to spread all the "Non-Violence" we can, in all the ways we can, in all the places we can, at all the times we can, to all the people we can, as long as we ever can.

Pledge of Nonviolence

Making peace must start within ourselves and in our family.

I pledge to commit myself as best I can to become nonviolent and peacable:

To Respect Myself and Others

I pledge to respect myself and to avoid self-destructive behavior.

I pledge to affirm others and to avoid hateful words, physical attacks and uncaring criticism.

To Communicate Better

I pledge to share my feelings honestly, look for safe ways to express my anger, and to work at solving problems peacefully.

To Listen

I pledge to listen carefully to one another, especially those who disagree with me, and to consider others' feelings and needs rather than insist on having my own way.

To Forgive

I pledge to apologize and make amends when I have hurt another, to forgive others, and to keep from holding grudges.

To Respect Nature

I pledge to treat the environment and all living things, including pets, with respect and care.

To Play Creatively

I pledge to select entertainment and toys that support our family's values and to avoid entertainment that makes violence look exciting, funny or acceptable.

To Be Courageous

I pledge to challenge violence in all its forms whenever it is encountered.

I pledge to stand with others who are treated unfairly.

Eliminating violence, one person at a time, starting with ourselves. This is my pledge. I am the one who can make the peace.

this will require a qualitative change in our souls as well as a quantitative change in our lives.
