Bid 4� . When you have a six-four hand and your long suit is raised , as happens here , you should bid game unless your hand is really bad . The reason is that a hand with six trumps and great shape is worth more than normal when your suit is raised .

You have choices . You can bid 3NT , 4� , or double . If you bid 3NT , your partner will decide between 3NT and 4� . If you bid 4� , the bidding is over . If you double your partner will think strongly about passing , which rates to be a good result . He can go back to 3��or 4��if he has a clear preference for playing in spades . If he bids 3� , you will bid 4� .
