As we begin the 2019-2020 legislative session
it is critical that we maintain
PADPAC’s standing as one of the top bi-partisan health care PACs in Pennsylvania. A new legislative session means
new Senate and House members to educate about the dental profession and the importance of maintaining
an excellent environment to practice statewide. It is through hard dollars (personal checks or personal credit
cards) that our members, lobbyists and staff have the opportunity to create, develop and expand relationships
with legislators. Through your generous contributions of hard dollars, we can attend legislative events and meet
legislators and staff who determine the outcome of our legislative priorities.

Reasons to Support PADPAC
PADPAC is one of the largest bi-partisan health care political action committees in Pennsylvania. If you do
not participate in advocacy efforts through PADPAC, we risk being steam rolled by the insurance industry.
We risk ceding control of legislative debates to other groups. We cannot allow our voice to be drowned out
by groups that seek to harm you and your patients. PDA members must ensure that their professional voice
is heard in Harrisburg.
PADPAC contributions directly support electing candidates who support a healthy practice environment for
dentists in Pennsylvania.
There are many new members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly who are unfamiliar with PDA’s issues.
This January brought 43 new faces to the General Assembly. That is the most in more than a decade.
That’s almost one-fifth of the entire General Assembly. PADPAC helps us build relationships with these
new lawmakers, allowing us to educate them about the association, the valuable services we provide, our
mission and how we benefit our dentists, patients and the overall quality of health care in Pennsylvania.
PADPAC delivers results! It’s through our advocacy efforts that PDA has built relationships that lead to
successful legislative outcomes for dentists and their patients. We must continue to protect our victories
by supporting candidates who understand and support PDA. This cannot be accomplished without the
support, both in time and treasure of our members.
The foundation for PADPAC is our members. It’s through PADPAC that members can join their peers in
championing issues that directly impact the future of their profession.
2019 PADPAC MLB Promotion
In order to build camaraderie, goodwill and a strong
PAC, our 2019 PAC promotion will be a Pittsburgh Pirates
game in August. Everyone who contributes at the $500
level and above will receive an invite to a Pirates game in
one of the stadium suites. We will attend a Philadelphia
Phillies game in 2020. Please join us!
