POSITIONING FOR EARLY DETECTION & INTERVENTION ABOUT PRESBYTERIAN COMMUNITY SERVICES The setting up of the Presbyterian Community Services was first initiated more than 40 years ago by the Presbyterian Church in Singapore. PCS is one of the foremost providers of pre-school education. Over the years, the scope of services has widened. Currently we have infant care, childcare, student care, integrated education for special needs, special needs school, residential home for teenage girls, youth-at-risk programme, eldercare services, emergency relief scheme, learning support, community O 10 befriending and other services to ur fl 0 2 ag c s h ip meet the multi-generational needs of - De 4 c 7 e ntr e, O ct 1 9 the population. PCS is registered as a charitable body under the Charities Act (Cap. 37. 2007 Rev Ed.) (Charities Act) and a Full Member of the National Council of Social Service since 1985. Today, we have 27 centres spanning across the island. PCS is an appointed partner operator for childcare services and centre of specialization in integrated childcare for children with special needs. PCS is also a foundation member of St Luke’s Hospital and part of the Presbyterian Care Singapore Network. 8
