Community update on the prescott golf club
It is hard to believe it has been almost seven months since
our acquisition of the Prescott Golf & Country Club in Oc-
tober 2017. We have been working hard and very much
appreciate the outpouring of support and efforts from many
in the community to help us improve the PG&CC. So far,
we have accomplished the following:
• Dedicated effort to clean-up the entire golf course includ-
ing removal of overgrown weeds and gophers, trimming
of trees, edging of cart paths, etc. all in effort to improve
the playability and appearance of the golf course
• Purchase of new equipment for both the golf course and
restaurant including mowers, stump grinders, ranges/
stovetops/ovens, pizza oven, and much more
• Hiring and training of new staff including Jeff Myers as
Food & Beverage Director
In anticipation of the golf season finally kicking into high
gear, we are pleased to announce some new and exciting
changes as follows:
• Changing the name to “Prescott Golf Club”. We believe
that by changing from a “Country Club” to a “Golf Club”
it will help us change the perception of being a “members
only” golf course to being an “open to everyone” golf
course
• Rebranding the restaurant to “Redwoods Grill” and
changing it to a full service operation with a new and
exciting menu including daily specials and fresh baked
pizzas. Additionally, we have renovated the snack shack
on the golf course and given it a new name too, “Chip
Shots.”
We are working diligently to accomplish our goals and
have made a significant investment that we hope will result
in the long-term success of Prescott Golf Club and strength-
en its contributions to the entire community. Again, we ap-
preciate the support we have received from the community
and look forward to continuing to make improvements at
the Prescott Golf Club for everyone’s benefit.

Post Script: In spite of some recent statements made on behalf
of the PCC POA Board of Directors, the Prescott Golf Club is
NOT trying to move “the PCC POA business office to the golf
clubhouse, serve liquor at our Board meetings and also sell
off the POA building and use that money to maintain the golf
course business operation.” We did offer to host the upcom-
ing May General Membership Meeting at the Clubhouse as a
courtesy to the POA as we do have a larger meeting room and
more abundant parking than at the POA building.
