Mail Boxes Are Federal Property
Over the past year the Country Club has had some mailboxes
damaged and/or destroyed.
Under Title 18, United States code, Section 1705, it makes it a
crime to vandalize, injure, deface or destroy any mail deposited
in a box. Violators can be fined up to $250,000 or imprisoned for
up to three years for each act of vandalism.
Homeowners purchase their mailbox but once installed it is
considered Federal Property.
Please watch out in your neighborhood for possible illegal
activities and report it.
