The libraryʼs Movies for Grownups shows a recently released or a classic DVD movie on our 90 ” movie screen , with a discussion to follow . The library is showing Sully on Tuesday , January 31 : 6:00 - 8:30pm . Based on the true events of the crash of an airliner in the Hudson River in 2009 , this intense movie starring Tom Hanks and directed by Clint Eastwood tells the story of the crash and the investigation that takes place afterward . The library will offer Computer Basics 101 , a two-part class , which will instruct students on basic concepts of using a computer , offer practice in using the keyboard and the mouse , and teach basic computer terminology . The class will be offered on Wednesdays , January 18 ( part 1 ) and 25 ( part 2 ): 10:30am - 12:30pm . Signup is required . Call 928-632-5049 or stop in to register .
Afternoon Games , for ages 7 and up , will be held on Wednesdays : 2:30 - 4:00 pm . Kids can come down to play board games including Battleship , Connect 4 , Chess , Checkers , Candy Land , Sorry !, Monopoly Jr ., Scrabble , Dominoes , Parcheesi , Clue , and more ! Also , weíll have the Wii out to play on the libraryʼs huge 90 ” movie screen . Come and play Super Mario Bros ., Wii Sports Resort , Mario Karts , Just Dance 3 , Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games , Mario Sports Mix , and more ! Bring your Wii games to the library to play against others !
The Dewey-Humboldt IONS group will meet on Tuesday , January 3 : 10:30am - 12:30pm . For January , the group will discover what Native American Prayer Ties are and how they are used . During the meeting , participants will create their own Prayer Ties and perform a ceremony with them . Supplies will be provided at the meeting for everyone . IONS meetings are open to everyone with all points of view . Visitors are welcome !
FANS OF CULTDOM will be taken over by the British onSaturdays in January : 1:00 - 3:00pm ! On January 7 , we will see the new 2016 Christmas Special of Doctor Who , in the episode “ The Return of Doctor Mysterio .” And for our January 14 , 21 , and 28 editions , we will view all three of the brand new , series four episodes , of Sherlock ! Donʼt miss out ! Movie style refreshments will be provided !
