Agua Fria & Old West Day
The Aqua Fria and Old West Day will be held on Sept. 26 At 10am. The main
street parade will be starting at 3rd and Main and ending at the Humboldt
Station. We are still accepting parade application. All are welcome. Starting
the day we will have a costume pet parade. This has been enjoyed by
many in previous years. We will have food vendors, western art and
crafters, demonstrations from GPAP (prospectors) Black Smith, Karman
and Kompany and Bill Knox will provide music for the day. Many games,
raffles and a fun time for all will be in Humboldt that day.
The Historical Society is also very pleased to announce the winner of the
admission button contest for the Aqua Fria/Old West day event which was
held at various schools in the area. The response was amazing and with
so many great drawings to choose from made it difficult to pick the 1st
place winner. The winner is Samuel Gordan who is a student at Bradshaw
Mountain Middle School. The Dewey-Humboldt Historical Society wants
to thank all who participated and the art teachers who made it possible.
Admission buttons for the Aqua Fria Festival and Old West Days will be
available at local businesses and at the D_H Museum. Look to buy your
buttons for you and your family the middle of August. Before the event the
Button will for $1, the day of the event will be $2.
This is a fundraising event for the Dewey-Humboldt Historical Society and
helps to keep the Museum alive. We are excited to bring the early years of
the West to our community. And welcome you to come enjoy a great day of
fun, and education with your family and friends. See you all there.
