As many of you in the music industry understand, knowing who is spinning your music and how often is very important. Now more than ever, what we play on our broadcast matters and is influential in the music industry. We won't go into a big lesson about who or what Nielsen BDS is (you SHOULD know, if not you have more work to do) other than to say that they have the most sophisticated and in depth tracking sytem of music airplay for FM, XM and now Internet Radio in the world. Their data is responsible for deciding the outcome of the BILLBOARD CHARTS among other things. Basically, this is a big deal.
