Member Spotlight
Stanley Klett, Jr.
by Lynne Poirier
Each month we spotlight a member for his or her extraordinary community service or
interesting hobby outside legal work. This month, our Member Spotlight is on Stanley
(Stan) Klett, Jr. Why Stan? Stan has a heart of gold. Anyone who knows Stan, knows
him to be compassionate and caring with a soft spot for underprivileged children.
Twenty-five years ago, Stan established our Holiday Party and Silent Auction. This
event is a tradition that has grown from a mere 30 attendees to 300 and has raised
nearly half a million dollars for local charity programs sponsored by our North County
and Young Lawyers Sections. Although Stan served as President for the North County
and was president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association in 2004, he continued
to work diligently knocking on doors, making calls and writing letters collecting items
and staying involved.
Stan’s community service also included serving on the board and raising funds
and awareness for Lighthouse for the Blind and Friends of Foster Children. For many
years, Stan and his dad, Stan Sr. collected new and used children’s bicycles and on
weekends the two worked hard with other gracious volunteers to repair or refurbish
the used bicycles to nearly new.
Stan graduated from the University of Florida in 1984 and works for Jones Foster, P.A.
He is married to Alicia and a proud father of two children, Foster and Scotti.
Stan thank you for truly making a difference in the loves of so many deserving people
over the years. Happy New Year!
