BOARD OF DIRECTOR ELECTION

Firm/Employer: Law Offices of R. Wayne Richter, P.A.
Law School: South Texas College of Law
Year admitted to practice: 2003
Year joined PBCBA: 2006
I was inspired to pursue this opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors after having served on the Board this past year
in my capacity as President of the Palm Beach County Bar’s North County Section. I witnessed first-hand the camaraderie,
loyalty and passion that the Board members have for the Bar, its members and its mission.
Although I joined the PBC Bar in 2006, it wasn’t until 2012 that I fully realized the importance of Bar membership and Bar
service. That year I joined the North County Section, as well as other committees, and met a group of wonderful attorneys
and Bar leaders that fostered my interest in Bar service. I joined the North County Section Board of Directors in 2014 and
went on to serve as the Section’s Secretary, President-Elect, and finally this year, as its President. That service has been
very fulfilling to me and I desire to continue to serve all the Bar’s membership.
As a member of the Board of Directors I will bring the experience I have obtained in prior leadership roles, as well as an
organized, practical and responsible approach to the matters before the Board. I will strive to continue its tradition of
excellence. I will also be willing to listen to others to learn what has made the Bar so dynamic and ways to continue its
progress.
I would be honored to continue serving on the PBCBA Board of Directors and I gratefully ask for your vote.

As a member of the Board of Directors, I will bring the hard-work and dedication I have exhibited over the past 7 years on
behalf of the Bar. As Chair/Co-Chair, and member of many committees, I have accumulated a broad understanding of the
work the PBCBA performs.
I am currently the Chair of the Membership Committee. This year, the Membership Committee has provided value to our
members by initiating three new programs: (1) the Member Spotlight series in the Bar Bulletin, focusing on members’
activities outside of the law; (2) the Member of the Week program where one member is featured each week on the PBCBA’s
social media pages, and; (3) an all-member networking event at the Drive Shack.
From 2017-2019, I Co-Chaired the Judicial Relations Committee. As a member of the JRC in 2016, I chaired the subcommittee
that initiated the popular Coffee & Bagels with the Judges program, which won The Florida Bar’s 2017 Group Professionalism
Award.
From 2014-2016, I chaired the Appellate Practice Committee. As Chair, I initiated a new series of lunch seminars meant to
educate and promote appellate attorneys. In that vein, in 2015 and 2017, I served on the Bench Bar Committee and organized
the appellate sessions.
I am currently serving in my first year as a member of the Professionalism Committee and have enjoyed learning about the
invaluable work that committee performs.
I look forward to applying the knowledge and experience I have gained as a member of the PBCBA BOD.
