It all began Halloween 2009 when Matthew
Tschabold (Mak 13) wore an angel of death
costume to his English class in elementary
school. The students had voted for him to
dress up as an angel of death for Halloween
and I thought the idea was brilliant. This was
not just because I helped “make” the costume
but because I knew my students would totally think of something better. If only I had
known!
Halloween 2010 approached quickly as I prepared for my version of Halloween Costume
Elections. I printed an extensive voting sheet
complete with pictures of all different types
of costumes including scary and non-scary
examples. I had faith in my 5th grade class
and chose them to be the voters. I swore them
