hat is it with these new
Pauza editors? One of
them, whom I won’t name (hint:
starts with an “S” and ends
in “-ofia”) all but put me in a
headlock to write something for
this quarter’s edition. If it weren’t
for the five chocolate/orange Pop
Keks she promised me, I might
have blown her off. But I’ll do
almost anything for a Pop Kek, so
here goes.
Like most PC peeps, I journal
with the best of ’em and, in the
past six months, I have had plenty
to write about. My journal is filled
with questions like, “What the
devil am I going to do with all this
time?” to plenty of embarrassing
moments and adventures in
cross-cultural communication. So
rather than attempting to whip up
some article about the trials and
tribulations of a MAK 11 hitting
that ever important milestone–
surviving the first three months
at site–I thought I’d tap into my
trusty journal.
While there were stories I’d
rather not be reminded of such as
that first bite of pacha (meat &
garlic jello), there were a few that
just plain made me laugh. Below
