Who makes the coffee in this house?

So I had an accidental na gosti this week-which was odd.
Sarah and I were at the cable company in the afternoon so
she could get her channels back. The girl was giddy.
Heck I was too. Been too many months since we've been
able to watch the late night debauchery on the hunting
channel. We made a date with Kablenet for 7pm.
6:53, the guys are early. Clad in their blue and yellow
jumpers, they hooked up some doodads and whirled some
thingies. Seconds later, Skinny models in stupid, tiny
clothes were on Fashion TV again. Yesssssss.
The cable guys were an Oldie and a Young'un. Seems
about right. Oldie passes on all his cable gems of wisdom
to the Young'un, as in most cable man-apprentice outfits. Young'un learns the ropes, and eventually takes over
the physically challenging aspects of the job like climbing
ladders and whatnot, and will one day fulfill his cable man
destiny within the company. It's beautiful.
Anyway, in the midst of twirling doodads and whirling
whatnots, Oldie looks up at the Americans and spits out,
"Who makes the coffee in this house?"
The Americans look at each other. Sarah cocks her head, I
squint an eye. Which, in our not-so-secret language,
means, What the heck??? Then it pretty much went like
this:
Sarah:
“You mean you want coffee?”
Oldie: “Yes. Of course.”
Sarah: “Uh, ok.” (A look of panic directed at Laura over
on the couch-who is giggling close to uncontrollably and
not really any help at all.)
Oldie: “Of course we want coffee.”
Sarah: “Sugar?”
