Vertiv / Emerson( previously Chloride- Harath) Generator Technician Senior Level 3
VertivCo is the UK’ s leading manufacturer and maintainer of emergency electrical power systems, specializing in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of low and high voltage switchgear, generators, and uninterruptible power supply( UPS) systems. This dynamic role primarily involves working on live, uninterrupted power systems, with projects ranging from single generators to complex, multi-million-pound synchronized generator installations. The position requires direct engagement with clients in both managerial and technical capacities, alongside active involvement in the day-to-day operations of the department.
I bring extensive experience in project coordination and management, including liaising with planning teams and subcontractors to ensure timely and resource-efficient delivery of services. Notable projects include the IBM, Sainsbury’ s, and EDF Energy contracts. Over the past 15 years, I have played a key role in the installation and commissioning of generator systems and Automatic Mains Failure( AMF) control systems, demonstrating a strong technical acumen. My expertise was further recognized during my work on the Coventry Hospital project, where I received high praise from the client in June 2016 for exemplary contract execution. My technical support experience extends to over 11 years of on-call service, providing telephone support to customers, and efficiently completing and submitting reports. I ensure compliance with all company health and safety standards and have completed the necessary online training. Additionally, I hold military and government-approved background checks, allowing me to work on UK restricted and nuclear sites.
Starting my career at Harath in 2002 as an Electrical and Mechanical apprentice, I advanced through both foundation and advanced modern apprenticeships, completing my training in 2006. I gained NVQ Level 1 and 2 qualifications for the foundation apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 as a Skilled Craftsperson for the advanced apprenticeship.
