The Courage of Spring Stella Palmieri- 7th grade

Spring is like a butterfly showing off its wings Along with the Lillie buds, all around my feet in a little pixie ring A few feet away lays a dragonfly, drinking the nectar from a flower Along side a sweet bee, with pant legs of pollen powder The gentle whistle of the wind, makes my hair dance Freshly cut grass covers the ground, flowing with new colony’ s of ants Bright, freshly bloomed roses, rest on the bushes The sweet spring winds bring a soft, and gentle hush We make tasty popsicles, but must wait till they harden In the meantime we feel the soft, but sturdy stems of the daffodils in the garden Along with the soft bark of my tree sapling Spring is made off of spirit, courage, and laughing
