blonde hair with brown highlights and gentle brown eyes . As she strokes my hair , she notices I ’ m awake and starts to introduce herself and in a gentle tone , explains how I ended up here . All her talking goes in and right out my ears , I just focus on her gentleness . She reminds me of my mother , oh how I just want to be home and watching a show with her right now . The thoughts quickly disappear as she mentions the government following me and my friend , then Stacy enters the room . I jump up quickly to rush into her arms , but immediately I am thrown backwards , as I feel lightheaded , and the world starts to spin .
“ Not so quick , honey , we need to get some food into you , but we will leave you and Stacy to catch up . That guy who grabbed you used something to make you pass out , and we feel there is still a small amount of it in your system . Anyways , we want to introduce you to our village in 10 minutes , so we will be right back . You two girls have fun catching up .”
Once she leaves , Stacy wastes not even a minute , she is by my side side in a blink of an eye and starts talking . Apparently , when she ran off , she had not realized that someone was following us the entire time we were in the cave . Huh , typical . Not like I was saying that the entire time . We found out it was the government ; they were looking for this civilization we just so happened to come across . They have been searching for it for years . When they had seen me hesitate , they knew we had not known about this place , but that if I was already down here and a witness , that I could easily take the other government crew back here . So , they set into action of kidnapping me . How fun ! They set out with the hopes I would be on their side to help them . However , Leo , a guy here in this town , was wandering that cave at that moment and saved me . So basically , end of story ! But this town is so cool , I was told they have been in hiding for years because they have some sort of giant secret about the world which explains why the government is chasing them .
My mind is spinning even more when the ten minutes is up and Stacy has caught me up to date , who is Leo ? What is the secret ? Why is the government chasing these people ? Are we ever going to be able to leave this town behind the cave ? Are we safe ?
I save those questions for later as the mom like figure appears in the doorway , saying its time to explore the town , me and Stacy hop up onto our feet in an instant , ready to see what lies ahead .
It ’ s nothing big . Just a basic town . Houses here and there , a few schools , restaurants , stores , but the main thing that catches me off guard is the ginormous building in the middle of the town . It has too many locks to count , all on everything : the doors , windows , even hatchways . It must be where their big secret is , but we have been informed to stay away because there are always guards swarming the place , and there is no way to get in , unless you are a higher power and already are aware of the secret . I want to know everything about that building though . My brain itches when I think about trying to get through the high-tech security , not easy but doable . That must be what the government was trying to reach . After a basic rundown of the town and meeting some of the most popular residents , Stacy and I drift away from the crowd and start exploring the little parts away from the main tour . We are like kids in a candy store , first we are somewhere and the next we are in the complete opposite side , wanting to know everything and traveling every inch of this new town .
