aid . I picked up my hearing aid and there was a crack through the casing . I put my hearing aid on but I couldn ’ t hear out of it so I took it out . My eyes started to water then I started to bawl my eyes out with water . Mr R ran over and asked me what was wrong . “ My left hearing aid got cracked through the center and i only had it for one day ” Sara sadly said “ oh well I can put your broken hearing aid in a bag , and you can sit on the bleachers , so your other hearing aid won ’ t break ” mr r said . Mr r put my hearing aid in a bag , and I watched the game from the bleachers . I remembered that I might have a backup hearing aid , but I forgot that Doctor Mia didn ’ t give me them .
( At home ) “ how was your day honey ” Sara ’ s mom asked “ it was horrible ” Sara said “ how was your day horrible ” Sara ’ s mom asked “ my left hearing aid broke in pe class , and I didn ’ t have a backup . Do you have a backup ” Sara asked “ not the doctor didn ’ t give us one ” Sara ’ s mom answered . Sara grabbed a snack then her mom was going to mention something important . “ Sara tomorrow you will meet your teacher of the hearing impaired and your speech teacher ” Sara ’ s mom said “ I don ’ t need a speech or hearing teacher ” Sara yelled “ well you got your j and d mixed up ” Sara ’ s mom said “ I didn ’ t get anything mixed up ” Sara said . “ Say the word jam ” Sara ’ s mom said “ dam ” Sara said . “ Look I wrote this , and you said dam ” Sara ’ s mom said while showing Sara the paper “ oh maybe I do need a hearing teacher why do I need a speech teacher ?” Sara said “ well the doctor said that when you said word that had a f and p you had a hard time saying it ” Sara ’ s mom said “ maybe I do need a speech teacher ” Sara said .
( The next day in school ) I was just about to enter my pe class but mr r said that “ I got a phone call , and you need to go to the library ”. So , I walked all the way to the library which is where guidance was and where the main office was . I entered the library and I saw a lady who had straight brown hair , black skin , lime colored shirt , black skirt , and she also had a name tag that said teacher of the hearing impaired and Mrs Katelyn . There was another girl with Mrs . Katelyn who had one hearing aid . She had blonde hair , white skin , a purple shirt , jeans , and her hearing aid mold was a glittery yellow and her other hearing aid part was pink . “ Hello , I ’ m Mrs Katelyn and I will be your hearing teacher this year . Would you like to introduce yourself ” Mrs Katelyn said “ hi I ’ m Lilly and I have 1 hearing aid in my ear . Also , I have a dm system that my teachers wear so I can hear them better ” Lilly said , “ Lilly can I have the dm system and do you have a dm system ” Mrs Katelyn said “ my name is Sara , and I don ’ t have a dm system yet but it ’ s coming in 2 weeks ” Sara said . Mrs . Katelyn asked Lilly and Sara if they would like to play a get to know you game ? Lilly and Sara said , “ We would love to play a get to know you game .” Mrs Katelyn said that “ Pick a card and read the question out loud .” Sara picked the first card and it said “ what is your favorite class ““ my favorite class is math ” Lilly said . Next Lilly picked a card and she said “ when did you get your first hearing aid ” “ I got mine 2 days ago and when did you get your first hearing aid ” Sara asked “ I got mine when I was 3 ” Lilly said . Sara picked the 3 rd card , and it said Do you have a DM System ? “ I have one and you said you didn ’ t have one right Sara ” Lilly said “ yeah I don ’ t have one ” Sara said . Sara and Lilly kept on asking more question until the bell rang .
( At 4 th period ) the health teacher told me and Lilly that someone wanted to see us in the speech room , so we went there . When we got to the speech room , we saw a lady who had blonde hair , white skin , a maroon-colored shirt , black pants , and she had a name tag , but I couldn ’ t see what her name was because the name tag got flipped around . There was also a boy there he had brown hair , a red and white striped shirt , jeans , and black glasses . “ Hello I ’ m Mrs Scarlett and I ’ m going to be your speech teacher this year ” Mrs Scarlett said “ nice to meet you and I ’ m Matt wackado ” Mat said “ your last name sounds funny ” Lilly said “ yeah it is funny and i sometimes laugh when people call me mr wackado ” Matt said “ well that ’ s a funny name and I ’ m Lilly and I have 1 hearing aid ” Lilly said “ Lilly do you want me to wear your microphone ” Mrs Scarlett said “ yes and it is called a dm system ” Lilly said “ oh sorry ” Mrs Scarlett said . “ Hi , I ’ m Sara and I have 2 hearing aids ” Sara said , “ where is your dm system or do you not have one ” Mrs Scarlett asked “ I don ’ t have one , but I will be getting one in 2 weeks ” Sara said . Mrs Scarlett told everyone to make a sentence about themselves but make sure you include the sounds you are working on . Everyone got to work writing their sentences . After everyone was done ,
