Symptoms of depression include feeling sad or blue , losing interest in activities you normally enjoy , withdrawal from others , excessive sleepiness , feeling hopeless or having thoughts of suicide . If you have any of these feelings for more than 2 weeks , you may be depressed .
Treatment
Managing heart failure is more difficult if you have depression . You will be less likely to take your medication , eat healthful meals , and be active . The first step is to discuss how you feel with your doctor .
