DUAL CREDIT IN HIGH SCHOOLS

Partnerships between NWTC and area school districts allow students to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously through a variety of programs . Over the last five years there has been striking growth in the number of students earning NWTC dual credit , and subsequently the number of credits earned . Researchers have identified numerous advantages to earning dual credit including cost savings , early entry to career pathways , decreased college remediation , reduced time to degree completion and stronger postsecondary outcomes .
