Supporting B.C. doctors on the
front lines
VANCOUVER SUN
UBC medical students across B.C. have mobilized
in a grassroots volunteer effort to support front‑line
workers fighting COVID-19. Together, they’re
providing personal assistance to families of medical
professionals, working with health authorities to
staff 811 lines, and developing a system with family
physicians to set up a prescription-delivery process
for immuno‑compromised patients in isolation.
Dr. Bonnie Henry, UBC clinical
associate professor in the School
of Population and Public Health,
is one of hundreds of faculty
members on the front lines of the
COVID-19  outbreak.
