We use the simple past for complete actions in the past In the past simple there are regular verbs and irregular verbs.
To form the past simple with regular verbs, we use the infinitive and we add at the end of the word "-ed". It is the same for all the personal pronouns (I, you, he, she, it, we, they).
EXAMPLE:
want → wanted
learn → learned
stay → stayed
For verbs that end in an “e”, we just add “-d”.
