really, really awesome”; is one of the many things I will take away from my internship at Stepney City Farm. Stepney City Farm is a charitable working farm in East London. The Farm offers many farmers’ market, workshops, and so much more. It’s hard to say what my job description is here at the farm because it changes almost everyday: interesting things I have done at here include: donkey and goat walking, pottery, visiting nursing homes with guinea pigs and bantam chickens, as well as children’s crafts. being here for all of 30 minutes, I went for lunch with one of my roommates. It was so crazy to think that I was walking down a street in Central London, which had been a dream of my for so long. As we were walking I just kept gazing at all the beautiful buildings and people rushing all over the place. It was so much to take in after I had been traveling for 12 hours. I recently took a trip to Bergen, Norway on my weekend off and this idea was very relevant there as well. I decided to take a trip up to the top of Mount Ulriken, which is the highest mountain in the city. It was so breathtaking once I arrived at the top. I hiked around the top of the mountain for a while and explored, but I still couldn’t get over the view. The picture does not even compare to the real thing. As an attempt to memorize this grand image, I sat on some rocks for a while just to take a moment to take it all in. I have been lucky enough to see many projects cafe, farmers’ market, “The Pig Idea”, and “Furry Tales”. Some of these projects are just starting, while others continue to grow, and it has been an amazing experience so far. I cannot believe I only have a month and a half left! The second item on the list, which states: “Always take a minute to take everything in”; is something The top two things on the list are definitely the most important.
