I started skipping classes. I skipped all my friends’ parties. I never went to a single basketball
or football game. I was basically a robot in my room working on the best product of my life.
After all, this was going to make me into an overnight millionaire, right?
Well, launch day finally came. I ran back from class
to my dorm room computer. I hit the “LIVE” button
and sat at my computer, staring for hours.
Hours and hours.
Nothing happened.
Days went by and I didn’t have even a single sale.
I was heartbroken.
Not only that, but I was in debt
now. I had spent my little $100 -
and even used my father’s credit
card. So I was $300 in the red.
That day I remember staring at
the computer in near panic. My
dreams had come crashing down.
Had I been lied to this whole time?
Did I just waste all that time?
Was it all just a colossal
sham?
