Recognizing the women that are making a difference in the Private Club Industry
Since releasing the Premier Edition of PASSION we have received hundreds of positive comments and suggestions to improve the publication.
We heard many of you say the awards should include all staff and not just the key department heads. That said, we have changed the Award Titles to reflect the nominees actions and lees about the nominees position at the club.
Much like the Oscars or Golden Globes, America’s Healthiest Clubs recognizes people in a category for the “best” or “most”, for example the Best Actor. PASSION awards recognize private club staff for the "Best Attitude” or the “Most Creative, Compassionate, Inspirational or Encouraging” to name a few.
Funny thing happened as we reviewed the pool of nominations; 100% of the winners were women and nearly every winner shared a story of how they collaborate with other departments to improve the well-being of either the member or staff.
On a more personal note, I was invited to speak at the Distinguished Club Idea Summit in Boca Raton, FL October 2-3, 2017 and as I sat and listened to a myriad of club leaders share their stories that included the Grandfather of the Member Experience, Jay DiPietro I heard one common theme that resonated with me loud and clear. This one thing coincidentally supports the mantra of this month’s issue of PASSION and that is; the Staff is the most important asset at every club and their passion and commitment is what creates a culture where the staff is critical to the member experience, period!
This issue is all about recognizing those special people that go above and beyond and do good things when no one is watching. They do it because they care and they are passionate about helping others, enhancing the persons health & well-being and most importantly creating memorable experiences.
