Lonnie spent the time preparing a couple of options and convinced the membership the incremental cost today will save millions later. Gulf Harbour knocked down an 7,800 square foot facility to make room for a 24,000 square foot facility that will rival any club nationwide.
Gulf Harbour is a gated community with 1,616 doors, encompassing 600 acres of homes, golf, tennis, pools, 188 slip dock basin, two clubhouses one for dining and one for wellness. “Team GH.” Is a family of one (Community, Club, Marina, Members & Staff).
Lonnie became the GM seven years ago and has seen member participation in fitness center increase year over year and eventually outgrew their original one-story Fitness & Spa Facility.
Lonnie's keen awareness of the trend that fitness and wellness continue to become increasingly important to club members of all ages inspired him to lead an effort for the Club to build a new Wellness Center that will address his club's current needs and provide for future growth. After overcoming numerous challenges, this new amenity will have a grand opening in the summer 2018.
The new 2-story structure will feature water views, state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment, a spin room, golf diagnostics, Pilates, TRX, a cyber café, two large aerobics classrooms, cardio and weight rooms with advanced tracking electronics, Infrared saunas, and an enhanced Spa that will provide private relaxing experiences for nail, hair, skin, and massage services.
The club's membership is very excited about their new Fitness & Wellness Center which will add to the value of their equity and enhance their shared life-long commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
Born August 9th, 1965 in Willoughby Ohio, Attended College at Ashland College graduated with honors in three majors Hospitality Management, Business Management & Marketing with a minor in statistics.
Married my college sweetheart and the love of my life in 1988 with have two boys Jarrod 25 and Chase 23.
We live in Estero Florida where we continue to work hard and play harder.
