Have you?
At the start of a new year, it is crucial to ensure that all the necessary preparations have taken place. It is certainly the case that students will be suitably concerned about making a good first impression. We are the same. A class can be won or lost in the first few weeks. It is vital that students get into good habits early; high expectations should be set and adhered to. Here's a checklist to help ensure you're ready.
When things get tough this year, just remember that you're outstanding!
1. Uploaded your scheme of learning, assessment plan and handbook to
Google and your VLE to share with students?
2. Prepared your classroom environment(s) for the students' arrival?
3. Developed a functioning VLE area?
4. Prepared your first lessons?
5. Decided on procedures for work organisation and submission?
6. Formed some ground rules?
7. Prepared set texts, handbooks and handouts.
8. Had Pro-Monitor training and explored the site?
9. Set up students tracking documents?
10. Decided how you will use Google this year?
