hosted several international students , whom Nayeli has cared for as if they were our own children . Right now , we are delighted to be hosting Nanapat Tantayawit , of Thailand , a junior at Land O ’ Lakes High School .
Our daughter , Andrea , a champion swimmer in high school , earned a master ’ s degree in biomedical science from the University of Houston-Victoria ( UHV ). She had envisioned a career in medicine , but for a year and a half , she has been teaching in Japan , learning Japanese and becoming the first trilingual person in our family . Josué , valedictorian of his high school class , lettered in multiple sports . After earning a bachelor ’ s degree in environmental design from Texas A & M University , he was awarded a full scholarship to pursue a master ’ s in architecture at Princeton University , where he is now halfway through the program .
Six-year-old Piper , a lovely boxer / blue heeler mix , has an understanding of dog commands in Spanish and English that puts her in an exclusive group of bilingual pets .

Educational Administration and Instruction
• Principal , Instituto Las Américas de Parral , Parral , Chihuahua , MX , 1998-2001 : Led a partly bilingual education program for 375 K-12 students . Directed accreditation , fundraising , and construction of the high school .
• Director-Mexico , Libros Águila Mexico , 1999- 2001 : Led a national distributorship of K-12 textbooks and teacher materials in Spanish . Traveled to and conducted teacher training in Spanish at numerous schools in MX . Lobbied successfully for State Dept . of Education acceptance of Libros Aguila materials .
• Adjunct Professor , Humanities and Public Speaking , Tulsa Community College , Tulsa , OK .

Is there anything that you ’ d like to share with our readers ?
I want to convey my profound gratitude to three university presidents ( and former supervisors ) whose examples , mentorship and support have helped me on my journey to the PHSC Presidency — Drs . Vic Morgan , Bob Glenn and Linda Schott . I also appreciate the warm welcome and professional courtesy extended to me during the presidential search and selection process .
My enthusiasm for serving as PHSC ’ s fifth president has been heightened by the relationships created since my arrival . I look forward to working with all stakeholders , internal and external , to make sure that people in Pasco and Hernando Counties find the services and solutions they need at PHSC .
