In 1997 , I began to slowly work toward my master ’ s in education . During that time , I juggled new responsibilities as a husband and a father and taught part-time at Tulsa Community College .

You are fluent in Spanish as well as English . Describe your experiences in Mexico , where you worked as headmaster of a private K-12 school .
I had studied Spanish in high school , mainly because my uncle , a Catholic priest , is a missionary in Colombia ( now retired ) and a published author in Spanish . At age 15 , I participated in a summer mission trip to Costa Rica and took several Spanish courses at ORU . My life with Nayeli is what ultimately allowed me to attain Spanish fluency .
A few years into our marriage , I accepted the offer to lead a private K-12 Christian school in Nayeli ’ s hometown of Parral ,
