Suncoast Credit Union Supports Student and Staff Success

The generosity of Suncoast Credit Union has continued to positively impact the lives of students , faculty , and staff at PHSC . A partnership established in 2001 has resulted in more than $ 368,000 supporting a variety of college initiatives and providing financial assistance for students .
Most recently , Suncoast Credit Union contributed $ 50,000 to sponsor PHSC ’ s annual All College Day , a professional development day for faculty and staff . Additionally , the funding provided student scholarships for first-generation students , the College Reach Out Program ( CROP ) and the Bobcat Pantries , which provide food assistance to students in need .

Transforming the Future of Healthcare Through Philanthropy
Students enrolled in health programs at PHSC ’ s North Campus learn critical skills within the walls of the Hernando Healthcare Foundation Administrative Building and the Gail Samples Health Occupations Suite , thanks to the long-standing partnership with Hernando Healthcare Foundation ( HHF ).
Since 2010 , HHF has provided over $ 1 million in support of scholarships and the purchase of innovative simulation equipment complementing training students receive in a clinical setting . The contributions of HHF have provided more than 800 scholarship awards totaling over $ 586,000 .

I am also a part of the radiography club , and I am very excited about what my future holds . I am very thankful for all PHSC and Foundation scholarships have provided for me by investing in my future !” Jones graduated from the radiography program in December 2023 .
HHF ’ s most recent investment will provide financial assistance for over 60 students enrolled in nursing and health programs during the 2023-2024 academic year .
