UPDATE
A Season of Triumphs and Determination
The sports teams at Pasco Hernando State College ( PHSC ) had a remarkable 2022-23 season , leaving a lasting impression with standout performances and unwavering teamwork . Let ’ s highlight the accomplishments of PHSC ’ s baseball , softball , basketball , cross country , volleyball and soccer teams .
Aiden Corn
The PHSC baseball team finished with an impressive 39-16 overall record and claimed the Sun-Lakes Conference regular season championship . Aidan Corn , an exceptional outfielder , set a new PHSC record with 86 hits and earned recognition as a DII NJCAA All-American Third Team member . Coach Lyndon Coleman was deservedly named the All-Sun-Lakes Conference Coach of the Year .
In softball , the team showcased their skills , finishing with a commendable 27-20 overall record and reaching the Sun-Lakes Conference Tournament as runners-up . Several players , including Alexis Joy , Savannah Lee , Emily Proctor and Joyce Bloom , were recognized for exceptional performances and earned spots in the DII FCSAA All- Tournament Team .
Women ’ s Softball player Jade Canady .
Nirobi Peeler led the PHSC basketball team with remarkable performances , guiding them to a 9-15 overall record . Peeler ’ s average of 18 points per game showcased dedication and exceptional skills , earning them a welldeserved selection to the DII-All NJCAA Region 8 team .
