As we celebrate Pasco-Hernando State College ’ s 50th Anniversary , we are grateful for the many dedicated faculty , staff , and administrators who have contributed to PHSC ’ s remarkable growth and development over the College ’ s five decades of service . As the newest institution in the Florida College System , PHSC has evolved from “ the college without walls ,” providing classes in rented facilities , to a thriving college offering higher education and workforce training to 14,000 students annually at six modern locations .
While we can document our growth by the number of programs we offer , calculate our success by our economic impact , and envision limitless future progress , we can never truly grasp the full measure of our impact on the nearly 60,000 graduates who have earned degrees and certifications since the College ’ s establishment in 1972 .
Counted among our graduates are congressmen , teachers , entrepreneurs , scientists , welders , physicians , journalists , corporate CEOs , dental hygienists , lawyers , firefighters and many others serving in professions too numerous to name .
